SHELBY NORRIS is a passionate and dynamic performer. She was born and raised in Hubbard, Ohio and began dancing at J&J’s Dance Depot at the age of 4. At J&J, Shelby trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acro, and lyrical. She was on the competition team for 11 years where she competed solos, duos, small groups, large groups, and productions at regional and national competitions. She also studied Cecchetti ballet and earned her student certification from grades I - V. Shelby also assistant taught and taught as part of the staff at J&J.
After graduating Hubbard High School in 2013, Shelby attended Youngstown State University were she graduated in 2018 with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. While in college, Shelby continued her dance training at Millennium Dance Complex in Pittsburgh, PA as well as attending the Rockette Summer Intensive for 6 years.
In August 2018, Shelby moved to New York City to participate in Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester where she was able to train with the best in the business and learn valuable information about the industry. After the completion of the program, Shelby remained in New York City to audition and continue her training.
Shelby is currently training and performing as a working professional. She has danced and choreographed shows and parades at theme parks and has been performing at sea on cruise ships. She is constantly working to grow as an artist while making incredible memories and friendships along the way!
